Cotswold Historic Rally, 2nd July

“A REQUEST FOR MARSHALS

Tavern Motor Club are organising the above event on Sunday 2nd July. The event starts and finishes at Cirencester RFC, The Whiteway, Cirencester, GL7 2ER. with the first car starting at 8.30am. The event will follow a similar format to previous years, with slight changes to keep things interesting. There will be 7 Tests at 3 venues, including a new venue, on a variety of surfaces (tarmac, concrete and gravel) together with 6 Regularities (one on private land) covering around 90 miles in a total route of 150 miles. The event is scheduled with the first car finishing around 5pm.

The Regularities, which use the public highway, require 13-16 crews of two people each. Each crew could, if they wanted to, ‘man’ a control on a morning Regularity and another at a different location on an afternoon Regularity, or could do one Regularity control earlier and marshal on a Test later, or vice versa. Marshals can also ‘man’ a Test venue for the day, as we will need many marshal crews to cover the 3 venues.
