Following the Extraordinary General meeting and a week of voting, the members’ votes have been counted; they are in favour of purchasing the woodland, by 29 “yes” to 14 “no” votes. Therefore, the club will begin fundraising immediately, which will add to the club’s own money going towards the purchase, as well as a Motorsport UK grant we will be applying for. The S&DMC Committee will discuss the details of the purchase and decide whether or not to create a sub-company, as well as whether this ought to instead be established as a charity. The current landowner has emphasised his preference for a quick sale, so we will aim to complete a purchase as soon as possible.
